Priority events used for selection:
11 - 12 Year Old: 50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly
13 - 14 and 15 - 18 Year Old: 50 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly

Selection for the first four spots in each age group will be based on the results in the priority events . If an athlete is fastest in more than one priority event, then their priority event shall be chosen for an event by looking at where they would have scored highest in last year's Zone Meet. The athlete will be placed in that event. Only results in first and second place will be used.

For the remaining spots on the team, athletes will be selected using Long Course times to get Hy-Tek Age Group Power Points for their best three events. Swimmers with the highest combined score will be selected to the team. In case of a tie, the power point score in the swimmer’s best event will be used to break the tie. If there is still a tie, the second individual highest score will be used all the way down until a distinction can be made.

Athletes will be selected for relays by the fastest time in the priority events.
